Hello and welcome to the blog about fundraising for classroom technology!
As many of you already know and some of you are learning our PTA is working hard on their fundraising efforts to bring better technology into our school and into our classroom.
Technology is such an integral part of our society as so much of what we and our children participate in is immersed in technology. I therefore ask that all of you participate in the fundraising efforts to achieve adequate technology equipment for our class, so that we may meet the state standards, as well as the academic requirements of the course curriculum.
I understand that many of you have your concerns regarding technology in the classroom and while I completely understand and respect these feelings, we must look at this fundraising opportunity as a chance to enrich the lives of our student(s) educational experiences. The utilization of technology in the classroom will allow for each student to experience an enhanced learning environment, enriched with the most up-to-date, current information regarding their studies. The student(s) usage of any technology inside the classroom will be solely to enhance their learning experience and not to promote the use of technology for recreational purposes.
The classroom wish list includes a Smart Board, along with computers. The Smart Board is an interactive white board which would replace the old fashioned white board and allow for all lessons to be easily accessible for later review by students, parents and teachers. As for the computer usage, this would allow for all students to actively research for their projects, essays, and study guide information. The using of computers in the classroom would allow the students to take an active, responsible role, and build their research skills, all of this will help to enhance their learning experience, as well as their creativity.
My hope is that all of you walk away with a sense of how the use of technology will enhance the academic success of each of your students inside the classroom, making their learning experiences second to none. The use of these types of technology is solely for the purpose of enhancing academic success, which is a cause I know all of you support! I urge all of you to participate and support technology fundraising efforts.
